Thank you for reading my Spooktober series of stories! I hope you have enjoyed them! I have written a poem to close, below: Goodbye, October
The time for trick-or-treaters Has come and passed October itself, Could not last. November is here, And with it thanks, soon. Colder, Though we treasure her, too. A bright orange sun comes up from under the mountains this morn, Bringing with it colors of Autumn: red, golden and orange, It grows and waxes strong, a fiery round ball, It is the Great Pumpkin, Who has arisen to his fullness Halloween Night, Ushering in Fall. With the orange gourd arisen, With it comes bright cloudless blue, Apple cider, turkey, togetherness, too, In familial love before long we will gather and to each other listen. Were it not for October, this could not happen. The month is spooky, but its messages true. Bright and new, future things on our door are a tappin’ Goodbye October, we love you!
